Location: Field Sales Head Office (Hybrid available)
 

Role Overview

We’re looking for an ambitious and skilled BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence function and play a key role in building high‑quality, client‑facing Power BI solutions. You’ll be part of our Reporting Team, working closely with the DB Team (SQL/data engineering) and the QA Team (data and report quality assurance) to deliver trusted insights to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI semantic models and visually engaging dashboards.
  • Creating high‑quality reports used by both internal teams and external clients.
  • Working closely with the DB Team to ensure reliable, well‑structured data flows.
  • Collaborating with the QA Team to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to BI standards.
  • Optimising DAX, data models, and overall report performance.
  • Translating business and client requirements into clear technical solutions.
  • Ensuring all BI deliverables meet governance, documentation, and lifecycle standards.
  • Supporting continuous improvements in BI processes, patterns, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards, models, and DAX calculations.
  • Solid understanding of BI modelling (star schema, fact/dimension design).
  • Proficient in Power Query (M) for data shaping.
  • Experience working with Power BI Service (workspaces, refresh, permissions).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across Reporting, DB, and QA teams.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage non‑technical stakeholders and clients.
  • Highly organised, able to manage workload independently.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Direct Lake).
  • Understanding of SQL (read/query capability).
  • Experience with deployment pipelines or CI/CD practices.
  • Power BI certification (PL‑300 or similar).
  • Experience with structured QA or BI lifecycle processes.
